What is a “Qualified HUBZone Small Business Concern” (SBC)?
The Historically Underutilized Business Zones Empowerment Contracting program became law as part of the Small Business reauthorization Act of 1997. This program is designed to help businesses in urban and rural communities gain preferential access to federal procurement opportunities. As a participant in this program, MPG takes steps to ensure that at least 35% of our employees reside in a HUBZone area.
